Most social support organizations are set up to help adults and families with children. Teens fall in between these groups. And, teens often do not know what questions to ask or where to begin to find help. We recognized this gap and have created materials and programs designed to help teens connect to important caregivers and services in their community.
We gather and vet information about government and NGO service providers available in counties across Southern California.
We publish information about available services periodically on our website and in our printed Service Directory booklets.
We deliver our booklets to government, service providers, caregivers, and businesses, so they can hand them out to teens or direct them to services.
We gather information about resources and services available to teens, and we make that information available through print and online publications. We operate within an ecosystem of resources and providers committed to helping homeless people, including teens. Our strength comes from our focus on the needs of teens, who are particularly vulnerable and often overlooked.
While teens increasingly turn to the internet — usually through their smartphones — to find help, we know not all teens have reliable access to the internet. That's why each year we curate, print, and distribute thousands of our Resource Directory booklets to schools, police, libraries, and service providers in the community. These free directories provide a convenient way for teens to find services nearby, without the need for internet access.
